Sex Therapy And Relationship Counselling Sydney

Pia is an experienced couple’s therapist completing a Masters Degree of Sexual Health at Sydney University and constantly updating her knowledge by attending supervision and education. She says:

Sexuality is a very important part of our lives. A fulfilling sex life leads to a joyful feeling of being alive. Unfortunately, a  very large number  of people will experience sexual difficulties in their lives. These include lack of desire, orgasmic problems, erectile dysfunction,  vaginal pain and general sexual dissatisfaction. Some problems are caused by physical problems, but often they are caused by anxiety and stress or lack of sexual knowledge. The sexual problems often lead to relational difficulties.

I believe everyone, regardless of age and gender have a right to a fulfilling sex life. Sex is a subject  that we find it hard to talk about, so many people end up with much less satisfactory sex lives than they need to. Through therapy people can explore and understand the origin of their sexual difficulties and find methods to increase their sexual satisfaction.

Some examples of recent clients are:

  • Couple, wanting to spice up sex life
  • Couple, where she has no desire
  • Male, addicted to internet porn
  • Female, with vaginismus
  • Female with low libido

A therapist/counsellor should have lengthy professional qualifications, but most importantly he /she should be a person that you feel confident in and safe with.
